Amazon Wants Former Gadgets

Amazon expanded program of trade-ins or trade up in his title to enable consumers can exchange their used gadgets with Amazon gift cards.

The giant online retailer has received tablets, mobile phones, MP3 players, cameras and GPS mark. Gadgets used to be exchanged may come from another store, not necessarily purchased from Amazon.

To know the approximate price of the gadget used to be exchanged consumers can check the pages of Trade-ins on the Amazon site. On the page that listed the price of any goods received by Amazon. Selling prices start from 25 cents to various types of mobile phones up to USD 480 for iPad 2.

Quoted from Cnet, on Thursday (19/05/2011), consumers can indicate the condition of the goods by giving the label 'Like New', 'Good' or 'Acceptable' and then send the print pre-paid shipping label.

Furthermore, Amazon will accept and check the condition of the goods. If the item is received, consumers are entitled to the Amazon gift card in the form of additional deposit amount that is sent Amazon into account the consumer. While the rejected goods will be returned to the consumer within 14 days with shipping costs borne by Amazon.

Trade-in the Amazon is actually longer exists. But earlier, this program only accepts trade video games, DVDs and used books.

"Hundreds of thousands of consumers have received gift cards worth millions of dollars of products exchanged through this program," said Paul Ryder Electronik Division as Vice President in the Amazon.

"The category of electronic goods is a natural extension and we are very pleased to be offering more choices of goods that can be exchanged," he added.
